We played a kerning game today, created by the same folks that made the colour game (these are fantastic for anyone doing graphic design/ media arts / desktop pub). I wasn’t sure how this game would go over with the class but it seemed to be exciting enough. I suppose anytime a bit of competition is involved, the class gets into it! Students definitely preferred last week’s game. It is going to be tough to continue to find relevant (and fun) games!
I would prefer to continue using games that I can tie into my curriculum. Although, I suppose if one of my goals is “team building” then spending 15-20 minutes once per week is a good time investment even if it is not directly related to a learning outcome.
