I’ve had several colleagues ask me how to get email working on their iPads and the settings were not easily found either through the Surreyschools Hub or through Google. Anyhow, here they are!

PLEASE NOTE: The District requires all devices that have district email set up to have passcodes enabled in order to protect confidential information in the even that it is lost or stolen.

1. Go to “Settings” on your iPad and then choose “Mail, Contacts, Calendars.”

2. Add Account > Exchange

3. Enter in the following information

Note: When I did this, I was first asked for Email, Password and Description. Upon hitting “next” I was able to enter in the server and username information.

Email Address

example@surreyschools.ca (use your surreyschools email address)

Password

Your Surreyschools password

Description

Surrey Schools

Server

mobilemail.surreyschools.ca

Domain

(Leave Blank)

Username

example@surreyschools.ca OR example@sd36.bc.ca (if you previously had an @sd36.bc.ca email address you must use it here for your user name).

 

Note: for Android devices you may need to put a \ before your user name (example@sd36.bc.ca) in order for it to work as it is asking for Domain\username. This was the case on a Google Pixel 2.
